Due to its portable nature, PhotoDemon is only available as a 32-bit application.

A compatibility layer like Wine may allow it to work on macOS, Linux, or BSD systems, but these configurations are not officially supported.

PhotoDemon isn't designed for operating systems other than Microsoft Windows.

(Note to self: still TODO is perhaps testing the icon exporter against PD's neural-network palette generator - this could greatly improve results at 4-bit output, at some small cost to ICO export speed.) This fixes an issue described in #453 where icon frames at < 32-bpp color-depths, dominated by neutral grays (but with *some* color) and with small amounts of variable transparency could lead to extremely poor color-matching against a target palette. The performance benefits were not worth the potential penalty to color-matching in a premultiplied space, so I have undone that decision and now perform all color-matching against straight alpha values. The old function performed this transform in premultiplied alpha space which was very fast but could lead to oddities in images that only contain a small amount of variable transparency, like along shape edges. When a source image has variable transparency, PhotoDemon attempts to intelligently 'threshold' alpha values in variable alpha regions - basically, it dithers between full opacity and transparency to roughly replicate the original variable opacity. Some image formats (icons) use masks for transparency, and these only support 'fully opaque' or 'fully transparent' pixels. Improve central alpha thresholding function Relates to #453
